FAQ
(Frequently Asked Questions)

"What Software do you use?"
I use:
Paint Tool Sai 2 (Art)
Krita (Animation),
Photoshop (Image editing)
Blender (3D)
Davinci Resolve and After Effects (Video)"Are you taking art requests?"
Not at the moment."Do you give art advice?"
I can try, but I'm not the best at explaining things."How can I use your art?"
- You may use my artwork as your profile picture or banner without asking me, giving me credits is appreciated.
- Please don't edit my art.
- I encourage people to repost my art, specially if it is to translate it to another language, or to post it on platforms where I do not have an account. Thank you for letting my soul live on the internet."What brushes and fonts do you use?"
I use the following brushes; they're for Paint Tool SAI 2, and no, I don't have versions for any other program. If you want more brushes for PTS2, I'd recommend customizing them within the program or searching on DeviantArt and especially Booth.pm.My main font for everything is "Josefin Sans", I love it too much.

"How can I imitate the InvestiGators Art Style?"
Imitating an artistic style takes time. I recommend practicing by first tracing the shapes and then trying to understand the decisions behind the original work: the direction in which the lines are drawn, the type of detail the original brushwork allows in the inking, the spacing used between different shapes or body parts, the anatomy, and so on.For the colors, I recommend choosing them from the PDF screenshots of the original books. Below, I'll also share a texture I created to mimic the one that appears in the books.InvestiGators Bootleg TextureI use the "Gator Brush" from my list for the lineart, it's PTS2 only, so for other software all I can say is that John uses Sakura Pigma Micron and Staedtler Pigment Liner pens, so maybe look for a copycat brush of those.Regarding the font, I don't think I can share it. Although the creator said it's good for use in fanart, I had a somewhat awkward conversation with him about it, and now I'm a little paranoid to share it freely. However, I don't want to fully gatekeep things, if you're on the InvestiGators Discord server or ask someone in the fandom, you might be able to get it (keep in mind that it's not the complete font, but an excerpt from the specific version uploaded to the Investigatorsbooks.com website, so it doesn't have bold formatting or anything like that)."Is Crackerdile the coolest, sexiest, and most beautiful character in InvestiGators?"
Yes.
